Sending data to Obics

Obics supports ingesting logs, metrics, and traces from many sources with OpenTelemetry or with the REST API.

OpenTelemetry (aka OTEL) is the recommended method to send telemetry to Obics. It includes a big selection of SDKs for all popular languages and services. Anything that can be collected with OTEL can be ingested with Obics. Read more in OpenTelemetry-Obics integration.

We recommend setting up OTEL collector instance(s) in your deployed environment to batch, process, and forward logs to Obics. The collector is a middleware pipeline that acts as a proxy or to fetch data on its own from various databases and services.

All methods require an API Key, which you can find it in Settings -> API Keys.
